Fuel Filtration

Combust Filters Diesel Fuel Filtration  (Remove 100% of water in your diesel fuel)

Using WaterGuard technology, Combust Filters offeres a new filtration technology that has been granted U.S. Patent # 7,425,266-B2.  This new filter chemistry allows Combust Filters to remove liquid water and emulsified water from Hydraulic and Lubricating oil systems even if the oil has a high acid number or the fuel contains E-85 levels of alcohol.  Which is something no other filter is reported able to do.  This new Patented Filter represents advancements in chemistry that allows Combust Filters to remove even the emulsified water and acids that forms in industrial oils, and in doing so can restore contaminated oils back to a like new oil condition while the oil remains in service.  Combust Filter’s 4” x 5” spin-on filters can remove 12-ounces of water and our 7”x 18” cartridge filter can remove one-gallon of water, and on
reaching their holding capacity, these new filters will slow their flow to causes an increase in the pressure gage reading, which alerts the operator that it is time to change the filter.

This new technology allows just “one” type of Combust Filter to be used with hydraulic oils, lubricating oils, regular gasoline, diesel fuels, alcohol blended gasolines, and bio-diesels.  By slowing the flow when the filter has reached its water holding capacity, the operator is alerted that the filter need changing and by an increase in the frequency of filter changes, the filter acts as a monitor, to alert maintenance managers when a water leak has developed and or that water can be causing alcohol separation to be taking place in the gasoline bulk storage tanks.  Combust Filters have demonstrated their ability to restore contaminated hydraulic and industrial lubricating oils to a cleaner than new oil condition.  On fuel dispensing systems, Combust Dispenser Filters will last four to six months before requiring that the filter is changed.  However, if more frequent changes start to develop the filter is telling you that water has developed in the bulk tank and that the alcohol separation can be taking place in alcohol blended gasoline.

Combustion Technologies USA trailer mounted “Combust Tank Filtering System” can be used to transfer the liquid separated alcohol and or water from the bottom of a tank to drums for disposal.  And then, by turning a valve, the Combust Filtering System will filter the bulk oil or gasoline in the tank to remove solid particulate and the water that can be held suspended in the oil by an acid or in gasoline by blended alcohol and when done, the oil or fuel will be clean and restored to like new oil clarity.  Combust 30-gpm Filtering System contains four 7” x 18” Cartridge Filters that can remove up to one gallon of water per filter before they will slow their flow to require that the filter is changed.

This new Filter Technology developed for Combustion Technologies USA holds promise to improve this situation.  The Patented Chemistry and Depth Media contained within the new Patented Combust Filters have the ability to remove Solid Particulates, Water (even if Emulsified), and the Acids that develop in Hydraulic and Industrial Oils and they can do so to such degree that they can restore in-service Hydraulic and Industrial Oils to be as clean as new oil and then, they can maintain the oil in that “clean as new oil” condition for greatly extended periods of time.  This new Patented Technology has demonstrated its ability to restore contaminated oils to new oil clarity and as new oil is added to replace the oil that is used by the equipment, the essential chemicals that are used are replaced.  And if necessary, based Lab Analysis of need, a Chemical Package can be added to restore the oil to be within the American Petroleum Institute (API) Chemical Standards for that particular oil thereby allowing the oil to remain in service for greatly extended periods of time if not indefinitely.  As this technology becomes better known and becomes a standard practice, it will have a tremendous effect to conserve the oil that is now being used to replace oil that has become contaminated and being disposed of as hazardous waste.

Combust Diesel Fuel Filters are designed to be used with Combust filter-post “Converting Bushings” that will allow the same Combust Filter to be used on both the Primary and Secondary filter posts of almost all the diesel engines that are on our roads. This innovation will reduce the 1,000+ different filter part numbers that currently serve the Diesel Engine Industry to just “one” Combust Filter that will fit the Combust Filter-Post Bushings.  The Patented Depth Media of Combust Filters will benefit the engine by removing more Solid Particulates over what other filters remove and as much as 16-ounces of Water, even if it is Emulsified or Water-Separated-Alcohol and on reaching its capacity it will slow the fuel-flow to alert the operator that it is time to change the filter.  And when the engine is serviced, the Primary Filter is removed and disposed of, the Secondary Filter is moved to the Primary position, and only one new filter is needed to be purchased for the Secondary Position, and in doing so, Combustion Technologies filters will cut engine fuel filter costs in half while bring the engine into compliance with our new clean air act and EPA emissions standards.

Combust Filters can be used as a secondary filtration system or uses in line as is the Racor systems. Ccmbust Fuel fitlers offers a remote mount head for trucking, marine and industrial applications. Contact us today if you have questions concerning your fueling system.
